<li>Fly tying your life away, and breaking the bank while doing it - <a href="http://singlebarbed.com/2008/08/05/one-of-those-internet-nuggets-i-overuse-with-relish/">Singlebarbed</a> explains it in one &#8220;desperate&#8221; pictorial. I knew there was a reason I bought my flies.</li>
<li>Marshall Estes has been <a href="http://www.fly-fishing-colorado.com/wordpress/fly-fishing-colorado-conditions-8208/">prowling the South Platte</a>, and putting them in the net. I applaud his <a href="http://michaelgracie.com/tag/south-platte-river/">choice of waters</a>.</li>
<li>The <a href="http://flyfishchick.com/2008/07/19/take-it-to-the-bank/">Fly Fish Chick</a> was back in Montana, and the fishing was good. I&#8217;m pissed&#8230;because she&#8217;s much more photogenic than I.</li>
<li>Speaking of Montana, the fly-throwing carp master by the same name <a href="http://carponthefly.blogspot.com/2008/08/i-was-massively-skunked-today.html">got skunked last weekend</a>. He doesn&#8217;t really care - the <a href="http://carponthefly.blogspot.com/2008/08/hard-to-believe-hes-2-now.html">kids were still cute when he got home</a>.</li>
<li>And while we&#8217;re on the subject of kids&#8230;Jeffrey Prest found a <a href="http://tauntedbywaters.wordpress.com/2008/08/05/learn-to-fish-properly-perish-the-thought/">great tool for teaching them how to fish</a>.</li>
<p>Now I&#8217;ll <a href="http://michaelgracie.com/2008/08/01/figuring-out-the-best-times-to-fish/#comment-12858">say it again</a>&#8230;get back to work.</p>
<p>PS: If you get busted reading this, just tell your boss <a href="http://busterwantstofish.com/?p=1038">corporate fly fishing still sucks</a>!</p>
