Yahoo! News posted a short list of tools to assist you in your battle against phishing, courtesy of PCWorld. Meanwhile, on the same day, SFGate (the San Fran Chronicle’s online hub) posted a Q & A on anti-spam software. Both included tests and opinions of the tools they listed.
Comodo’s TrustToolbar and Phishing.net’s Clear Search Anti-Phishing tool were covered for protection against phishing attempts, and McAfee’s SpamKiller and Allume Systems’ SpamCatcher received mention on the anti-spam front. Cloudmark’s SafetyBar rounded out both lists as a “catch-all” for both spam and phishing issues.
All in all, some well put together reviews, although some might find the PCWorld reviews via Yahoo! a bit on the technical side.
And for those who are not really interested in the consumer side of things, Spamroll’s colleagues over at Spamfo have posted a list of the spam related companies who will be attending Infosec Europe. The firms listed here primarily serve the enterprise, and most more than just in the European marketplace.
