Plain text email is just plain safer

Mary Landesman over at About.com has produced a nice little piece on the benefits of plain text email. Hard core computer users have known this for some time – keeping HTML, images, and hyperlinks out of the inbox prevents a plethora of nasties from invading the system. But then again, some of those folks check their email from a shell prompt, and many won’t even login to their computers via a GUI (not that there is anything wrong with that).

For the rest of us, however, here are a few good tips.
