netZentry, makers of network instrusion and prevention systems, has just announced a $6MM Series A capital round via US Venture Partners and Alloy Ventures. Stuart Phillips of U.S. Venture and John Shoch of Alloy have joined the netZentry board. In addition, there is some new leadership at the company – Elizabeth S. Perry has been appointed President and CEO. Ms. Perry has roughly 20 years of networking industry experience, and most recently was an entrepreneur-in-residence at US Venture Partners.
netZentry’s products provide protection against distributed denial-of-service and worm attacks. They are based in Palo Alto, California.
