Still Defining Spyware

Many “anti-software” firms are still having trouble figuring out what is and isn’t spyware, while Microsoft vacillates and chases new laws that keep them safe on the blocking side. While some still question whether it is illegal to block the spyware, I cannot opine on the matter as I don’t download free software titles whose use is conditional on accepting the stuff.

But I still think the main course should be defining the stuff from a technical standpoint (and leaving the reading of EULA’s to the user), and so does the latest anti-spyware group. Lets see if they can make a go of it where others couldn’t, before we hammer them, eh?
