Paul Buchheit throws up a quick post on Gmail, and notes that part of his drive to improve the product was all the spam he used to get. He doesn’t come right out and say all his spam is gone, so I’ll put my two cents in there.
I set up a Gmail account a few months ago, and have been using it for some direct correspondence as well as a redirect box from other accounts. And, while I don’t think Google needs any more PR, I am extremely impressed by the results. I have not only received no spam through the POP access, but intermittent checks of the spam folder show I haven’t missed any mail either.
So far, so so good.
