Two major papers owned by the New York Times has made their morning deliveries wrapped in recycled credit card reports.
“Immediate steps have been taken internally at the Globe and Telegram & Gazette to increase security around credit card reporting,” Richard H. Gilman, publisher of the Boston Globe, said in a statement. I am sure that is giving 200,000 plus customers the warm fuzzies about now.
The papers have set up a hotline for any customer who wants to find out if they have been affected. I can hear it now…”No madam, you were not affected.” It might be easier, and more effective, if residents just started digging through their garbage.
