I’ve never had much tolerance for blatant ineptitude, and have been know for blowing my stack when someone screws something up on my watch while exemplifying sheer stupidity. Being lazy and ignoring job responsibilities probably ranks a close second, but I probably wouldn’t get angry – I’d find a workaround as well as a tactic for showing said person the door really soon. There just isn’t enough time to manage the unmanageable, and the costs of doing so, particularly in a small organization wound tightly around an initiative, are usually prohibitive.
Suing someone for lack of production never crossed my mind – in fact I think it is a downright waste of additional resources, but so be it. I’ll bet the next step is suing the manager for not firing “the skater” in the first place.
