Eric Schmidt, that “older guy” running Google, says truth prediction software will, within five years, be able to gauge the accuracy of politicians statements.
The problems I see with this…
– Politicians don’t really make the statements – their spokespeople and statement sculptors do; so politicians still won’t have to be held accountable for what they say, and the latter are the crafty, internet saavy types that will use these prediction mechanisms to fine tune their messages;
– The rest of the time, it is some stealthily funded “grassroots organization” making the statements; and who the hell even knows who they are;
– Why can’t we get this system inside of two years?
