I am not sure what would make anyone think spyware infections could possibly be on the decline, but we get a big announcement that it is growing anyway. Unsurprisingly, it comes from an anti-spyware company that doesn’t feel threatened by the
impending infinitely delayed release of Windows Vista.
Maybe it is the fact that the rates were the highest since the same quarter last year. Of course, with folks getting ready for spring in the second quarter of the year, taking summer vacation during the third quarter, and prepping for the holidays during the fourth quarter, should anyone expect spyware purveyors to be any different?
